Introduction to Sailing is a sailing experience geared towards those who aren't sure if sailing is right for them, or simply want an opportunity to get out on a 34' cruising yacht for the afternoon and learn about the basics of being propelled by the wind alone. Depart beautiful Collins Bay Marina in Kingston and sail along the shores of Eastern Lake Ontario. The session will begin with a safety briefing followed by an afternoon or evening of sailing. Whether you're an absolute beginner, a prior boat owner, a visitor to town, or simply the person being dragged along for the ride, there is something for everyone to enjoy on this session. Typically offered in three hour sessions in limited afternoon and sunset sails. $135 per person. Discount rates available for groups. What to Bring: At least 1 full litre of water T-shirt and shorts Quick dry shoes (non-marking water shoes or canvas runners are good choices) Being exposed to wind, water and strong sun, we also recommend: A full cover hat with brim UV sunglasses with safety lanyard Appropriate sunscreen Long-sleeved shirt and pants Rain gear when inclement weather is predicted These session are tailored upon request.
